Innoform has once again demonstrated its expertise: In the DRRR proficiency test “Contaminants in Recycled Plastic Material – Phase 2 (RVEP 259599)”, our team achieved excellent results once again. The examination of contaminants in recyclates is crucial for the quality of food packaging.
In this demanding test series, PP granulates were spiked with unknown contaminants. Thanks to state-of-the-art analytics and sound expertise, Innoform identified the substances precisely – including 2,4-di-tert-butylphenol, benzophenone, and octadecyl-3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate. The quantification was performed semi-quantitatively using internal standards.

This result confirms: Innoform is a reliable partner for the safe identification and evaluation of NIAS (non-intentionally added substances) in plastics. The precise analysis of unknown contaminants is crucial for compliance with the strict requirements of the Plastic Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 and Regulation (EU) 2022/1616 for recycled plastics in food contact.
Our commitment: highest quality and safety for your products. Trust Innoform – our competence is also demonstrable through our continuous participation in proficiency tests.
