PAA -Primary Aromatic Amines by LC-MS/MS

Primary aromatic amines, specific analysis using LC-MS/MS. Typical aliphatic amines from polyurethane adhesives are covered in one of our standard methods.

Test Method Group: specific migration

Norms:
  • In-house method (external provider) Inhouse method of an external provider

Required Sample Amount: Small reel (if not available: film stack or original sample in gas-tight packaging)

Standard Tests

multi method PAA of printing inks, clorants

Specific Norm: Hausverfahren (externer Anbieter)

This multi-method currently contains about 30 primary aromatic amines (‘PAAs’) known as impurities or degradation products of pigments. For example, it contains all PAA that, according to Annex II of Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 shall not be detectable with a limit of detection of 0,002 mg/kg food or food simulant applied to each individual primary aromatic amine (‘PAA’). These are the primary aromatic amines listed in Annex XVII Appendix 8 to Entry 43 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.

multi method PAA (MDA and TDA) from polyurethane adhesives
