Roughness acc. Bendtsen
The Bendtsen method is more suitable for determining surface quality, especially for rougher surfaces, than, for example, the Parker Print Surf (PPS) measurement method or the Bekk smoothness method. To determine the Bendtsen roughness, air is forced through a gap between the board and a metal ring lying on it within a certain time under defined conditions. The volume of air flowing out per minute gives the result (ml/min). A lower measured value represents a smoother surface.
